What type of plant is this and why won't it bloom?

When I bought it had a really nice white flower with a yellow stick coming out through the middle. It died after just a month and a half and I've had for about three months. It hasnt bloomed even one. Can some o tell me what I need to do.

I believe it's a Calla Lily but it has a way to go before it blooms. Fertilize it once a month when it's not in bloom and stop when you see it's first flower. They only bloom 1-2 times a year but it's worth the wait!!!What type of plant is this and why won't it bloom?
An Alocasia of some sort? It will bloom if it gets the right amount of light. It looks healthy. Probably the length of sunlight it receives per day has a lot to do with it. Mine usually bloom twice a year. I can't tell you exactly what type yours is. There are so many different ones.





No I think it may be an Anthurium but it is hard to tell without the flower. Sounds like that may be what it is. I haven't seen one with spotted leaves but that sure looks like what it is. They should bloom all the time and I can send you a link on how to take care of it. It is probably not getting enough sun if it isn't blooming. You could be over fertilizing too. Sometimes if you stress them just a little bit but not too much they go to bloom mode.
These plants (don't know the name but have had one) don't flower all the time like a typical flowering plant. Their flowers resemble an anthereum (the ';yellow stick'; is an anther). Mine would only do this about once or twice a year - and then, not until they had been around for a long time.
