no not successfuly --- and because they are a bulb/ corm --- that's all you will need to get more hyacinths --- just split them with a sharp knife with plenty of root left on the bulb .good luck .Can hyacinth bulbs be started from seeds from the blooms ?
Yes, they can. In fact, all bulbs come from seeds. But it takes years to make them the size that is plantable and that you see in the shops and in catalogues.

After a tulip blooms, what has to be done to store the bulb?
Leave it be, let leaves die back and then clean up. Note: some fancy tulips lose their vigour and only bloom for a few years. When they stop blooming, dig up and toss in compost pile. A great opportunity to get new bulbs and try other colours. After a tulip blooms, what has to be done to store the bulb?
After the tulip blooms, you don't remove the bulbs from the soil. Leave them in place as they will grow every year. Just remove the leaves after they die off and that is all you have to do.computer security

Are mums perrenials or annuals? What do I do with them after they're done blooming?
Are mums perrenials or annuals? What do I do with them after they're done blooming?
Do I throw them out, bring them indoors, etc...??
I am new at planting and don't know much about it. A simple and easy-to-understand response would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!Are mums perrenials or annuals? What do I do with them after they're done blooming?
Mums are perennials and can survive most weather conditions, leave them in the garden and they will come up bigger next year. Are mums perrenials or annuals? What do I do with them after they're done blooming?
They are both depends on the climate and what time of year you plant them. After blooming cut back if planted in the ground to about 4-5 inches. They will come back next year,in late summer or fall they are fall plants and will bloom until frost. No they are outdoor plants. You can bring them in in small pots for a display for a few days then water well and sit them outside in full sun to keep them blooming.
The ones you buy in the grocery store for $3 are annuals.
If you want perennials make sure the tag says HARDY mums.
Some of them are and some of them aren't. You can try planting them and see if they come up the next year. If not then they were the annual type.
They are perennials here in New Orleans. Cut them back after they bloom in the fall. Most people cut them back even before they bloom in the spring so they can have a more impressive display in the fall. You should not have to bring them indoors depending on where you live. Check your USDA hardiness zone or call your local extension service for specific answers in your area.
They can be either. I have perennials that have already bloomed. It may still be too early to cut them back, though. Also, some of your larger store chains will be selling Fall mums soon. These can also be annual or perennials. Just be sure, that when you buy mums (or any flowers), you make sure it has a tag on the container. This will tell you what you need to know about the flower. Good luck!

Does a flowwer feel pain when it blooms?
Flowers don't have brains or nerves and therefore do not feel pain.Does a flowwer feel pain when it blooms?
No....Does a flowwer feel pain when it blooms?
WISE GUY: I'M A ROSE AND WHEN I BLOOM I HAVE LABOR PAINS .THEY ARE WORSE THEN CHILD BIRTH PAIN. I KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW THE PAIN OF CHILD BIRTH.
It depends on the individual flower. For example, one rose may feel elated and free. Another rose may be a bit scared of the change and will therefore feel pain. Some cry (yup, thats right, that wasn't a dew drop!).
I remember this one flower that came into my college's human service program for counseling. wheeeew. It was so shook up from blooming we had to admit it. It was suicidal. I tell ya, I felt bad for that dandelion. Why? He got made fun of by other dandelions for being so scared. See, dandelion is french (dent de lion) meaning ';tooth of the lion.'; Thats something big to live up to and when one dandelion doesnt do just that, the other tough ones make fun of them....
he didn't make it....... He hung himself on the ivies tendrils... That or the ivy got annoyed from him crying so much and choked him. Could been murder....

of course it feels pain, you didn't feed it miricle grow!!

I have a beautiful old Wisteria. It blooms wonderfully in the Spring ,however,?
after the blooms fall off all I have are these long seed pods. Will the seeds grow more wisterias, or will the main tree rebloom if I cut them off?I have a beautiful old Wisteria. It blooms wonderfully in the Spring ,however,?
dry then out then plant. Do not plant near other plant/tree etc... Whisteria kills anything it attaches itself toI have a beautiful old Wisteria. It blooms wonderfully in the Spring ,however,?
It only blooms in the spring. You can take the seed pods and replant the seeds that are inside. However, a wisteria is very prolific and can spread.. They will grow up any tree and take over. Even if you mow them down they will come back constantly. Takes a lot to kill a wisteria. Some people plant them on a trellis in or even into a bush.. But you need to be persistent in controlling it. It is much easier to just get a cutting from one of the vine roots than to plant the seed. The seeds have a very hard outer covering.
Your wistertia will continue to rebloom, sometimes twice in a year. We had both a purple one and a white one and the flowers are so very fragrant.
Most people grow them from root cuttings...if you grow from the seeds, it will take decades for them to grow enough to bloom.
Yes the seeds will grow but the plant will not rebloom.

Sick to death of AGAPANTHUS! You get a couple of months of blooms & the rest of the year they look like hell.?
When not in bloom they are ugly and in need of grooming all the time. The few months of bloom are not worth the rest of the year of mess. But I like that sort-of clump upright look. I'm commited to change as I had my gardeners start digging up the Ags today. But I have no idea as to a replacement? I want easy care, upright %26amp; some collor. And I need alot as we are removing over 50 Agapanthus.Sick to death of AGAPANTHUS! You get a couple of months of blooms %26amp; the rest of the year they look like hell.?
AT LAST SOME ELSE OTHER THEN ME HATES AGS. I thought I was alone in the world with my dislike of that scrapy looking, over rated garden mut. What a dumpy look'n pile of trash. But just like our famious ';Mess-O-Randa';, home of the blue mulch, everybody has to have an Ag in their garden. (did I hear right, you had 50 of them?)
Here's a couple great replacements that will give you the look %26amp; structure you are looking for.
Dietes, the fortnight lily. Irislike plants that live upto their name. Set your watch by it as it blooms every other week, year around. I suggest D. vegeta for it's 3inch white bloomes. E-Z care, low water use, year around winner.
Toss in twenty or so hygrid, repeat blooming daylilies in mixed colors. Some reds, purples, cream %26amp; naturally some yellows %26amp; oranges.
Those two winners should help you forget your ag nightmare?Sick to death of AGAPANTHUS! You get a couple of months of blooms %26amp; the rest of the year they look like hell.?
Mention where you live and I might be able to help.
Are you looking for shrub type replacements? Tree?
Knock-Out Shrub Roses are easy to care for and resistant to disease. They have a shrub appearance with rose blooms. You might have a hard time finding a lot this time of year though.
i live in australia and mine are fine.. where i am we have very hot summers and freezing winters .. i just chop flowers off when they are finished and brown and rip off any of the dead leaves and they look fine.. maybe give them some food... agapanthus in my opinion are one of the easiest plant to care what about english box headge,, they have them planted areound the streets here and they look lovely easy care and can shape them or grow them into a fence hegde, you can get them in all different varietys small to large etc ask the nursery
Replace wih daylilies, or iris; these have the clump upright look, however, these two bloom once a year just like the agapanthus.

When cna you get rid of old tulips after they are done blooming in my garden?
depending on if you want the tulips to come back next spring or not or if they are older bulbs. After they bloom %26amp; flower stalks have been cut back, you need to allow them to ';energize'; for next season before they go dormant. Just leave the blades of the plant for approximately 1 month, then snip off at ground level. Depending on how old the bulbs are they should multiply some. In my experience tulip bulbs are good for approximately 3 years or so. Some people recommend digging them up every year, but can be a very tedious task. So to answer your question I would wait about a month after they have bloomed to cut down to ground level. By this time your bulb should have enough energy stored up for next springs show. Same goes with DaffodilsWhen cna you get rid of old tulips after they are done blooming in my garden?
Anytime. You can leave them in the ground if your climate isnt too extreme and they will bloom again next year. If you fet snow or hard freeze you may want to dig them up, pet them in a paper sack, and store them until planting for next year. When cna you get rid of old tulips after they are done blooming in my garden?
Do not cut the leaves back. They need the leaves to absorb light for the corms (bulbs) to grow. You can cut them back when the leaves begin to turn brown, or just leave them to mulch into your garden. After 3-4 years, dig up the bulbs, they will have multiplied, break off the little ones around the main bulb and you will have additional bulbs to plant.
Put them in your or someone elses compost pile, bury them, put them in the trash can, or take them to the dump or yard waste recycling center.
Tulips are biennial and will only bloom for two seasons. However, they will need to be separated from their offspring after their two years are up. In the fall after all the green foliage has died back, dig them up and remove the mother bulb and replant the babies. You'll have to do this every two years.

Temperatures are to fall below freezing the next 2 nights, my camillea bush is full of buds and a few blooms. ?
should I cover the bush or can it tolerate the cold?Temperatures are to fall below freezing the next 2 nights, my camillea bush is full of buds and a few blooms. ?
Camellia's tend to be pretty frost tolerant. If it's affected at all, the blooms might get a little wilty and brown. The buds should be fine. If you're really nervous, a sheet thrown over top should do just fine.Temperatures are to fall below freezing the next 2 nights, my camillea bush is full of buds and a few blooms. ?
Cover with cloth vs. plastic, like an old sheet and remove daily when sun comes up.
Cover with a heavier cloth material, not plastic. Plastic transfers cold, cloth insulates. Remember to uncover the plant once the temps are above freezing in the a.m. and recover by 10 pm. Ideally the cloth should reach to the ground as that's where the cold air will puddle.
My camelia does fine in a cold snap..it is over 4 years old..I live in northwest Florida(and yes we do get cold here)..where it will be down to 28 tonight..I also have a huge veggie garden that I grow veggies 12 months out of the year..i do what the citrus growers do here when a freeze is coming and right before sundown, or before it hits the freezing temperature I water my plants with a sprinkler heavily..the roots get water logged and the freeze cannot totally freeze the ground , thus saving the roots, and the water on the leaves of the plant will freeze and actually act as an insulator with the frost and winds..this saves the plants..the citrus growers will run thier sprinklers all night..I just water heavily right before the freeze
You can cover it with burlap and/or black plastic to help hold in the heat. A black plastic garbage bag should work fine.
Cover it just to be save. You may still lose a few buds, but it is better to be safe than sorry.computer security

Is emerging indian I.T world doing any good to INDIA,as india remains where it was before the I.T bloom?
IT boom in India is doing a whale of good to India. Many youth are employed, most offices are automated, there is less corruption , business transactions are easier and accurate and on line class rooms are teaching all subjects. Is emerging indian I.T world doing any good to INDIA,as india remains where it was before the I.T bloom?
yes of course its doing good .It has contributed a lot to indian economy. Is emerging indian I.T world doing any good to INDIA,as india remains where it was before the I.T bloom?
I.T boom is helping India a lot. Look at the new cars and new M/c on the road every day since from 5 to 6 years.
The process will create very big financial unbalance in the society. the financial level will increase between it and non-it people, hope this will create lots of issues in the society !
Definitely. It has been doing good for india. For ur kind information India did not remain where it was before the IT boom.
Yes .Being a s/w proff i can say tht cuz its giving more jobs to people with high pay packages. Its different that comp.get a large share than what we get but any way they are paying tax too to the govt.
It should really help the economy. But I don't know what's the socio-political situation in India. I grew up in the Philippines and IT was in bloom since the early 90s. I remember my British colleagues being constantly in awe with me and my mates as we knew how to operate mobile phones (any model), video-cams, can text at high speed, and taught them how to use the internet.
Shame it's still deteriorating because of corruption and tax evasion. So I guess no matter how much money you pour into the government, it won't make any difference if there's a leak in the system.

Thriving in health, beauty, and vigor; indicating the freshness and beauties of youth or health.
I'm sorry I just have no clue what the question is but genetics plays a big role in how you will look as you grow older.
I'm not sure what you are asking.
If it's how to stay young-looking even as you age...well, there are many factors. Genetics is a big part. Not smoking will get you a long way, as will eating fresh, whole foods, and getting enough sleep. But the short of it is, we all age, and that can't be changed.

I have orchids and they are doing very well. I was wondering if anyone knew how long they stay in bloom for?
They have been in bloom from Easter. Also, once they have lost the bloom do they bloom again?I have orchids and they are doing very well. I was wondering if anyone knew how long they stay in bloom for?
It depends on what type you have usually once to twice a year a orchid will produce flowers. You must cut back the spikes after the blooms have spent.I have orchids and they are doing very well. I was wondering if anyone knew how long they stay in bloom for?
As Joe said, Orchids will bloom under optimum conditions for several months. However, it also depends on the type of orchids you have. The huge and fragrant Cattaleya bloom seasonally during Summer months, whereas the delicate Vanda blooms all year but are easily bruised. Visit an orchid web site and see what they have to say. Sorry but I don't have a web site to refer you to. Yes they will bloom again with proper care.
they will bloom for several months, even up to a year, if you can maintain their perfect environmental requirements - which is no small feet in and of itself.
orchid, coincidentally make up something like 80% of all flowering plants known to man, by the way. ;-p

My Hoya plant is a 40 yr old cutting off a 100 + yr plant. It is in small pot, no bloom, is larger pot needed?
12-15 years ago it bloomed all the time, year after year, (little pink bouquets) but hasn't since I moved from that house. It was in a northern exposure window, have tried all windows, no blooms and little growth, but it looks healthy. Long stems, big dark green leaves, very little problem with dropping leaves. I don't normally fertilize, although I have in past, made no difference. Family heirloom plant, I am 3rd generation to have it, it will go to my daughters upon my death, I am 62 . So you can see it is important I keep it healthy, but would like to see it bloom again. My Hoya plant is a 40 yr old cutting off a 100 + yr plant. It is in small pot, no bloom, is larger pot needed?
hi when my plants stop growing lots and stop flowering i gently pull the plant and roots out of the pot to check for;
1. disease
2. bugs
3. mould
4. if the roots look cramped
if its disease you can try doing a couple of cuttings and then talk to someone at a garden center to see if there is anything you can do to the mother plant.
if its bugs you can buy all sorts of organic type pesticides to take care of them
if its mould/rot do a complete change of soil and be sure to put rocks or sand in the bottom to help with drainage and be carefull not to over water
if it is the roots cramping purchase a bigger pot and loosen the roots up a bit and replant!
hope this helps
btw since it is an heirloom plant and you said daughters (plural) why not do cuttings for both of them?

Why do my camellia buds rot and fall off before fully blooming?
Are they falling off ';before'; they open (swollen bud only) or ';after'; they open, but not yet fully? It makes a difference as to what might be your problem. I will however, give you 3 possible scenarios depending which one of my questions pertains to ';your'; question. One possibility that could cause this is the ';camellia bud mite';. These critters infest the inner surface of bud petals. The flower bud edges will turn brown, then the entire bud turns brown and drops.
A second possibility is called ';premature bud drop'; and appropriately named I might add. This disorder is caused by poor cultural practices such as ...providing the appropriate irrigation along with good soil drainage and possibly inadequate cultural care the previous summer and fall when the new buds were developing.
A third possibility and this may be your culprit, is called ';camellia petal blight'; a fungal disease caused by rainy weather. A tall tale sign is that the petals turn brown, however if you look closely at the petals you will see that the veins are a much darker brown than the rest of the petal. The spores are harboring in the soil underneath the plant and when it rains they are splashed up onto the plant to infect the buds. To combat these spores, apply about 3 to 4 inches of organic mulch underneath the plant to reduce the spore survival and make sure to pick and dispose of any infected blossoms on or around the base of the plant. I'm not positive, because camellias don't do well in my zone, but it sounds like it could be a fungus problem. Go to your garden center and get a systemic fungicide. They also might be able to answer your question, since they will be familiar with plants in your zone. Why do my camellia buds rot and fall off before fully blooming?

Thats about it I suppose. If you have anymore questions, feel free to do an update and I will try to give you more information.... Good Luck!

Can someone help me to understand walt whitman's poem when lilacs last in the dooryard bloomed?
i learned that it is written for Lincoln but what is the importance? what does the lilacs represent? thank you all :)Can someone help me to understand walt whitman's poem when lilacs last in the dooryard bloomed?
God schools never change are they still making you learn
that ****.....Can someone help me to understand walt whitman's poem when lilacs last in the dooryard bloomed?
I do not know this poem..
you should have posted a link...
BUT
at what time do the lilacs bloom.??? ..a time in spring and joy for life..(they have a sweet fragerance)
A dooryard is simply the garden around the home...
Lilacs were often planted in the grave yards ..
the civil war was ... ???
Lincoln was assassinated in April, when lilacs were in bloom in Washington, DC. Usually springtime flowers are symbols of rebirth, of the earth reviving and blooming again after winter. But in this poem the lilacs become associated with death.
The poem refers to the murdered president symbolically as ';great star'; in the heavens and also as ';him I love.';
Some sections of the poem describe the funeral train carrying Lincoln's body on a cross-country journey from Washington to its burial place in Illinois.
Whitman uses images from nature -- such as birds and flowers -- to suggest that not only is he mourning Lincoln's death, not only are the people of the United States mourning their fallen leader, but the whole natural world is in mourning for the loss of a truly great soul.
I actually would have asked the same thing/

Remember paper flowers that ';bloomed'; in water from a clam shell? Know what they're called, where to find?
It was shortly after WW II, and I think they were a Japanese import. We used to put them in goldfish bowls (not with the tish) and they lasted a long time. Are they still around and where can I find them?Remember paper flowers that ';bloomed'; in water from a clam shell? Know what they're called, where to find?
Yes, I remember them, they were called ';Clamshell Water Flowers';, the small ones came in Cracker Jacks the big ones from a 5%26amp;10 cent store (now they call them Dollar Stores). I also found a guy selling them on eBay for $25 at http://cgi.ebay.com/Lge-CLAM-SHELL-Wonde鈥?/a> RScottRemember paper flowers that ';bloomed'; in water from a clam shell? I used to love those as a little girl.My grandmother used to buy them for me when I was small early 1960s at the five and dime store. i haven't seen them since then. I don't recall what they where called.I often think of them and wish I could find them

After poppies are done blooming, can you cut them down to the ground?
This would depend on the type of Poppies that you have. If you have the annual type like the orange California Poppy then yes they are through after blooming because they are an annual. If however, you have the Oriental Poppy that are generally in the red color ranges with the black centers, these are perennials and you would not want to cut down the leaves now. They are using the nutrients and energy from the leaves to help with next seasons growth. The leaves will die down naturally later in the summer and you will see more leaves start to appear later in the fall. You should mulch in the fall to help with next springs plants. You can cut off the seed head stalks without damaging the plant. If I were you I would not mess with cutting the plant back. You could however plant some other type of plant that would be an annual around the Poppy to help conceal it. I hope that this info helps you but like I said earlier it all depends on the type of poppy that you have.

They are a weed, when you think they are gone they will rear there ugly head. I planted some 2 years ago and they are still popping up everywhere. I think thats why they call them poppiesAfter poppies are done blooming, can you cut them down to the ground?
if you leave them for a while they will reseed themselves, then pull them up from the roots they are dead now ,or you can pulloff the seed pods first then dry them out and reseed from there
I have many orange poppies in my perennial garden. When the poppies blossum, usually the blossum only lasts one day and then the wind blows the soft pedals off, leaving this naked tall stem. I then reach down to the bottom of the stem, to the base and pinch the stem off with my fingers. (or use scissors) A new shoot will form again and the poppy will re-blossum. If you do this to your poppies, they will continue to form blossums all summer long from June - October. Poppies re-seed themselves and next spring you will see new ones growing in your garden. Just thin out the unwanted ones.
I hope this is helpful. HAPPY GARDENING!!!
Poppies are annuals, need to be planted each year
Yes, you sure can. Besides, poppies aren't very pretty once their bloom has died. Be sure to collect the seeds though and you can rebroadcast them in your garden for next season. Happy poppy pulling :)

I have seen peach blossoms from Bright Pink to White in color (and all diluted shades between). I've even seen one that was almost a lavender. It all depends on the type of peach tree it is.

Moonflower: (Ipomoea alba ) is a night-blooming relative of the morning glory that perfumes the garden with five- to six-inch white flowers.
Angel's Trumpet: (Datura innoxia ) produces fragrant, six-inch white flowers that appear from midsummer until frost on this viney annual. Note that this plant is poisonous and should be kept away from children.
Night Phlox: (Phlox 'Midnight Candy' ) at dusk, flowers open to release a honey/almond/vanilla fragrance.
Evening Stock: (Matthiola incana ) has small pink or purplish flowers that are not showy, but emit an intoxicating fragrance at night.
Four O'Clock: (Mirabilis jalapa ) is a sweetly fragrant annual with colorful trumpet-shaped flowers that open in late afternoon and release a jasmine-like perfume.
Nottingham Catchfly: (Silene nutans ) offers a scent reminiscent of hyacinths. The flowers open on three successive nights before fading.
Night Blooming Cereus: (Selenicereus ) is known for its large, fragrant, night-blooming white flowers. This cactus is not hardy below 55掳F, so grow it in a container and bring indoors for the winter.
Daylilies: (Hemerocallis ) that bloom at night include 'Moon Frolic' and 'Toltec Sundial'.
Yucca: (Yucca filamentosa ) bears flowers that are open both day and night.
Night-fragrant Plants
Flowering Tobacco: (Nicotiana ) is a lovely annual with long, trumpet-like blooms valued for their intense evening fragrance.

Here in the Philippines, there's a white flower that blooms and have nice scent only at night. We call it dama de noche (spanish) or in english it is translated as queen of the night.
The moon flower. It's similar to the morning glory (which only blooms in the daytime), but the moon flower only blooms in the evening.
there are many.
one is the moon vine
relative to morning glory, fragrant
another is the night blooming cerus
blooms only once a year and is also fragrant

Possibility of love blooming.. but want to avoid it since he is married with a kid.. What can I do?
I am in a situation where I am seeing possibility of beginning signs of love blooming.. but he is married with a kid and I do not want any confusion in either my life or in his. He is a very good person and so am I as people say. We work together. How can I avoid it gracefully.. I am looking for someone in my life and want to get married to have a family of my own in all sincerity. Any advise?Possibility of love blooming.. but want to avoid it since he is married with a kid.. What can I do?
just try not to stay too much incontact with him, sometimes its hard. also dont express your affection to him or show that your interested in that wayPossibility of love blooming.. but want to avoid it since he is married with a kid.. What can I do?
lol :)
you are not a very smart individual.
Just explain to him you are not interested in anything other than friendship..It isnt fair to his wife or child...So he's a nice person HUH? Cheating on his family? Your a nice person huh? Distroying other peoples lives.... I have been there..You should stay as far away from this situation as possible..if you cant --quit your job and find another. YOU KNOW HE IS MARRIED.....SHE DONT KNOW HE IS CHEATING ( When he does ). It will distroy her,the children, both sets of parents and him as soon as he finds out he had all he wanted at home and its too late now..
I am telling you from being in the middle of this very situation, run........and don't look back. I am so so in love with the man I am seeing, but unfortunately its one sided and always will be, because he is already married, you can't give your heart to two people at the same time, not really. You won't be in pain everyday as I am if you never enter into this at all, please, I beg you, don't do it, you'll only be wasting your time, setting yourself up to fail, be lonely and alone. Trust me, being lonely when your alone is easy compared to being 'with' someone and still being lonely.
If he is willing to cheat on his wife for you and you trust him to be faithful to you than you are an IDOIT.
He will not be any more faithful to you than he is to his current wife.
That makes him NOT a good person.
RUN LIKE HELL.
walk away...he's married like you said.
Yeah. Step away from the married man. Stop saying that he is a good person. He has one major flaw. He's a cheater.
Stay away from him!!!!! You will find another love... This is not the last one!!! You will have another!! You may love him but he is not available... do the right thing and good luck
First of all you work with someone and you are begaining to have feeling for him but he is married and has a child. Just let him know that you are not interested in him that he is married and should behave like a married person should.
If he wants to be your friend all well in good if not than thats to bad.
best of luck
i dont trust my self of any other man then my husband to be around. i dont put myself in places where i know i am not in control. before i got married there was a guy i liked at my church but he would alway flirt with me but never do any thing. he would lead me on. after a while i just said forget him. i am not waiting and do thing again i had been with another guy that did the same thing would take me out on dates when he didnt have a girlfriend. this guy might just be borad which is not good. i would make sure that when u are at work that there is always some one else in the room. so he cant do anything and u can be careful. the right man is out there for u. why not try and pray for him. it just might work u never know good luck
Just keep everything on a platonic business level. if he tries to make it anymore then you have to sit him down and take to him
Yes, run the other way! Don't get involved with someone who is married! Is that the kind of guy you want, a guy who would cheat on his wife and family to be with you? Would you want to be ';the other woman';. Find your own guy.
Just use him for SEX. You KNOW he ain't getting it from his wife.
Break all contact or you won't be able to control it!!! You can't control love!!! STOP NOW or go all the way and be there for him no matter what!!!
move on and don't contact him.
What can you do? Stop messing around with a married man with a child.
This is especially true if he is your boss, which could lead to some messy legal issues.
Stay focused on your job, and do not interact with this guy anymore, unless absolutely necessary for your job.

I had some flowers die in real life, in my dream i see a single white tulip bloom?
IN REAL LIFE i was given a mixed garden type container, and one of the 3 plants had some flowers in it, they were pink.
I mistreated the container and forgot to water and left it in a pretty dark place. In a couple of days the flowers died but the other two plants were doing fine.
IN MY DREAM, i woke up and looked at the container and watched a single white tulip like flower bloom rather quickly. The tulip was growing over the dead pink flowers.
Any idea on what this means?I had some flowers die in real life, in my dream i see a single white tulip bloom?
White is the symbol of innocence, spirit and purity. Tulips are common, every-day flowers. You have learned your lesson from the example that when you don't take care of things or make appropriate priorities, things will ';die'; or go bad, like the pink flowers you were given. Don't worry, your dream indicates you have learned.I had some flowers die in real life, in my dream i see a single white tulip bloom?
To see tulips in your dream, indicates fresh new beginnings. You are loving life! Tulips are also symbolic of faith, charity, hope, perfection, idealistic love and fertility
Something beautiful can still bloom even if we make mistakes or something bad happens. All is not lost.

Does anyone knows about some kind of cash aid sponsored by LG Electronics as claimed by Mr. Robert Bloom?
He sent me an email notifying that I was chosen as one of the 50 recipients worldwide of a cash grant from LG Electronics in conjunction with the EU %26amp; the United Nations Organization (UNO). He instructed me to contact a bank or a security firm in the Netherlands, Falcon BV with address at Hostile 170, 1091AC Amsterdam and some guy named Mr. Anthony Rudolf with telephone no. +31-633-733-318 %26amp; fax no. +31-847 273 800. I have talked with this guy in the phone and assured me its legitimate and the money is kept in the bank under some kind of an escrow/suspense account and can't be transferred unless the recepient of this cash grant open an initial deposit of 1,500 euros as a personal account and then only the cash amount can be transferred to the personal account. Latest of his email instructed me to make a payment of 1,500 euros to any Western Union money transfer agent to activate my personal account and payable to Williams Tate of Falcon Bldg., Amsterdam, The Netherlands 1045.Does anyone knows about some kind of cash aid sponsored by LG Electronics as claimed by Mr. Robert Bloom?
I received the same email and I believe it is a scam.Does anyone knows about some kind of cash aid sponsored by LG Electronics as claimed by Mr. Robert Bloom?
This is spam/fraud which probably will lead to identity theft.
A grant gives you money; it doesn't require that you put up money. Did you apply for this grant?
Of course he said it's legitimate. Did you really expect a fraudster to say ';you're tight, this is a rip off';?
sounds like a scam

What tree, i believe it's in Africa, only blooms one day of the year. That is the only time it has flowers?
i don't remember much, but i know that there is the one tree and it is a rarity to see it bloom because only one day of any given year does it bloom. I think it's usually in open fields, and if i remember correctly i believe it is from Africa, but I'm not positive. What tree, i believe it's in Africa, only blooms one day of the year. That is the only time it has flowers?
Not really sure, but here are some possibilities:
1. Kurinji plant (sometimes called Neelakurinji), a native shrub of the southern mountains of India, the Western Ghats. When the Kurinji are in bloom, the vast expanses of flowering plants produce a unique effect, a sea of blue and purple as far as the eye can see. This amazing sight is made all the more memorable by the fact that it occurs only once every 12 years. Children who see the Kurinji bloom will not see it again until they are grown; in fact, one tribe in the area traditionally calculates their ages according to how many of the flowerings they have seen.
2. Kenaf plant, except it's not quite how you described it above. While the flowering can last 3 to 4 weeks, or more, per plant, each individual flower blooms for only one day.
3. Talipot palm - truly a once-in-a-lifetime event - for the tree, at least. The Talipot palm is monocarpic, meaning it blooms only once, and in this case, at the end of its long life, which can last between 30 and 80 years.

Tomatoes and the blooms drying up?
i have 2 nice size tomatoe plants and i seem to have a problem with the blooms drying up why? Also I was told that I should prune the bottoms ot her plants so the nutrition goes to the blooms is this true?Tomatoes and the blooms drying up?
You should prune the shoots that grow out of the main shoot. Are they getting pollinated? If so you may can try some hormone spray that they sell to help set fruit. You could also not be getting enough sun or have a problem with your soil.computer security

My aquarium water got white and cloudy after I added the salt. Is that a bacteria bloom? Does it leave a film?
I have a 55 gallon tank, I added salt, then the sg was too high, so i put more fresh water to get it down. After 2 days, the water was white and cloudy. It has cleared a bit now and lefta white film over the tank will the film go away? It's really hard to scrub the white film off. I don't have live sand or rock in the tank yet. It does have a filter and thermometer at 79 degrees. I have kept the light off so as not to promote algae growth. My aquarium water got white and cloudy after I added the salt. Is that a bacteria bloom? Does it leave a film?
What type of salt did you use synthetic or real sea salts? While there is an endothermic reaction that takes place with the water (in short the freezing/boiling point goes down) salt also affects the chemistry of water. Espeially on minerals that are in the water.
Salt for a salt tank should be premixed in buckets allowed to dissolve and then placed into the tank. Once you have fish, you will have to do it this way to avoid shock and salt burns on your fish.
More than likely undissolved salt is suspeded in your water.
This can happen (called Vapor pressure). The film itself if it is a synthetic salt will often line the tank like a lime coating. Your live sand should already be in the tank prior to filling. You are going to go thru another suspension of debris when you do finally add sand.
Usually using a tank magnet or tank scrubber and a little elbo greese will work to remove this layerMy aquarium water got white and cloudy after I added the salt. Is that a bacteria bloom? Does it leave a film?
when setting up a saltwater tank you shpuld mix the salt and water before adding to tank. the film should go away and also it would have been easier to put live sand before you fill up the tank wich will prolly make the water cloudy as well.

bacteria bloom?? hmmm... not sure. but they should be able to scrub off with the proper fish tank scrubs

Does anyone who may be in Japan right now know when the Cherry Blossoms may bloom in Tokyo and Kyoto this year
I found a website that was in Japanese and had a poor translation, so I couldn't really tell what was going on. I'm going to be in Tokyo from March 27th-April 7th, then Kyoto from April 7th-April 10th. If I miss the actual blooming, will I at least be there to see them before they fall? I know there's a very short window and it seems with warmer weather things could happen earlier.Does anyone who may be in Japan right now know when the Cherry Blossoms may bloom in Tokyo and Kyoto this year

Good timing! Ive just been watching the evening news here in Tokyo....March 26th is the date in central Tokyo, a few days later further out although with 15 years under my belt and as an amateur weather forecaster I'd say March 28th-30th is most likely! Weathernews shows March 30-31st......
The sakura last 4 or 5 days at most so blink and you'll miss them! There is even snow sometimes as the temperature can change wildly at end of March. Things settle down by the 7th of April or so.
If your browser can show Japanese then click on this site Ive linked it has a map with all the forecast dates for Sakura nationwide! Take your pick and get there early!

What kind of plants work well in all day sun and have a long bloom time?
I am going to plant some flowers in the front of my house in a flowerbed. The front of my house has full time sunshine; it is never in the shade, except at night. What kind of plants work well in all day sun and have a long bloom time?
Depending of what type of plants you are looking for I have listed below different types that when you mix and match from each will create a stunning show, especially if you plant annuals and perennials near each other. That way when the annuals are in full bloom the perennials can get ready for their late spring to late fall show usually after the annuals have faded out.
Annuals, compact or tall plants: Marigold and geranium (both help to keep bugs and slugs away), petunia, dusty miller, nicotina (flowering tobacco, hummingbirds and bees love this and is pretty believe it or not!), sunflowers (there are MANY varieties, my fave is the mexican sunflower, is has a beautiful orange/rusty color), and salvia (the blue is nice) just to name a few.
Annuals, vining/trailing plants: Wave petunias (planted in bunches of 3-4 will create a lovely 3-6 ft display!), lantana, verbena, trailing dusty miller (comes in much prettier varieties than the compact one listed above), trailing new guinea impatiens (as long as you give them enough water morning and night).
Perennials, compact and/or tall: Shasta daisy (many varieties), columbine (lovely delicate looking, hummingbird and bee love), iris, lily, cone flower (echinacia), red hot poker (unusual, nice in bunches, hummers and bees), cornflower, cupid's dart (reseeds like crazy and will take over bed in a couple of summers), black eyed susan (sometimes reseeds, why I listed it here), dianthis, monkshood (beautiful deep purple blooms, but poisonous so don't plant where kids or animals play), and many, many more.
Perennials, vining or groundcovers: Some favorites of mine are stone crop, sedum, hens and chicks, akebia, honeysuckle (more of a shrub because of it's woody base and stems once established), and trumpet vine (will reach amazing lengths and heights if using a trellis).
Try the site I listed here, too many too list!http://landscaping.about.com/od/plantsfo鈥?/a>

Jehovah's Witnesses:why dont you follow jesus' example & get baptised well after your ';bloom of youth';
JW kids have to wait to start any kind of romantic relationship till after they are well old enough to know how to handle thier feelings and marriage love..bla bla...but why not encourage kids to think deeply %26amp; wait till beyond thier youths so they know EXACTLY what they are dedicating themselves to. ive seen kids as young as 8 getting dunked. do you really think that is appropriate? would you of signed a binding contract at that age? serious question. not trying to be rude.Jehovah's Witnesses:why dont you follow jesus' example %26amp; get baptised well after your ';bloom of youth';
This is another ';question'; whereby a practice common to all self-described Christians is pretended to be peculiar to Jehovah's Witnesses. Ironically and unlike Jehovah's Witnesses, a substantial percentage of self-described Christians baptize uncomprehending infants!
The questioner mentions the baptism of Jesus, pretending that Christian baptism should be the same. But the two baptisms are plainly NOT comparable; Christian baptism declares one's submission to Christ and dedication to God, whereas the human Jesus was already dedicated to God since birth (since he was a natural-born Jew).
Of course, Jehovah's Witnesses do not baptize infants and do not expect any dove-like manifestation of the holy spirit to alight upon their heads following their immersion!
Before becoming a baptism candidate, a student must have demonstrated full knowledge and conviction regarding everything the Bible teaches about the Father, Son, and Spirit. Ironically, unlike their critics who ignore the need to preach and teach and impart real understanding to baptism candidates, Jehovah's Witnesses actually follow ALL the instructions of Matthew 28:19,20.
.. ..(Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
It is sad and revealing that certain self-described ';Christians'; focus on trivial arguments while ignoring entirely the central mission of the true Christian congregation.
.. ..(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
.. ..(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
.. ..(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
.. ..(Matthew 10:11-14) Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.Jehovah's Witnesses:why dont you follow jesus' example %26amp; get baptised well after your ';bloom of youth';
The decision to get baptized is a PERSONAL one. No one is ';forced'; to dedicate their life to God. Such a ';dedication'; wouldn't be valid because God wants willing people.
As a parent I would never permit my 8 year old to get baptized. Other parents feel differently and that's their responsibility and it's not my place to question their decision
Hello, I am pretty sure that Jesus got baptized at about the age of 30 years old. That's good; I have time to decide. I consider my self to be *unbias* and believe *universal*. Universal meaning I believe there is *truth* in all religions (except for the dark religion).
Far from me to criticize but anybody under 10 shouldn't.
What does the bloom of youth have to do with symbolizing one's dedication to Jehovah by water baptism? Absolutely nothing.
Are all Christians to get baptized after they turn 30? No. Preparing for and getting baptized are evidences that a youth is spiritually progressive, regardless of his age. If, as has been suggested, Timothy was still a teenager when he became the apostle Paul鈥檚 missionary companion, Timothy was probably baptized when he was in his mid or early teens. He had been instructed in the Scriptures from infancy, and once equipped with adequate knowledge and appreciation, he did not hesitate to get baptized.
';i am so sorry lioness. i dont know why they seem to think pressuring kids into baptism is a good thing. it does exist because i saw it myself.';
Not true! Children are not pressured to get baptized. In fact, many of them are encoraged to wait a little bit longer.
';They have no business baptizing anyone under the age of 30.';
Is this a pronouncement to JWs or to all religions?
Before persons gets baptized, they are made aware of what a dedication to Jehovah means. They know before baptism that they are required by Scripture to remain spiritually clean in the Christian congregation. If they break the Bible's standards of moral conduct, they know they could be expelled from the congregation. Disfellowshiped Witnesses will have you believe that it was not their fault for getting disfellowshiped. They want you to think that disfellowshiping is a ';JW thing.'; They don't want you to know that most professed Christian religions ALSO expell those who do not comply with certain standards of conduct. Most ex-witnesses will never tell you why they were expelled. Instead, they put the blame on someone else.
';Being that the penalty for stepping out of line with Watchtower rules is disfellowshipping ( which Jesus NEVER practiced)';
Wasn't Judas expelled from Jesus' group of intimate friends (the apostles) for being an unremorseful thief and betrayer before Jesus instituted the ';Last Supper';?
1stly their is no set age on baptism. Ive seen people as young as 5 get baptized. But before you get baptized you have to understand what baptism means. if a child said they want to get baptized and they have not 1 clue of what it entails they cant get baptized...but if they do know and are ready to accept what comes with being baptized they will be baptized and you can't just bust out of the blue and say i want to get baptized and then the next day you are...their is a process you have to know basic bible knowledge and other things in order too be baptized. And other things regarding your spiritual stregnth have to be in order...so that you can be baptized.
So ive seen people under the age of 10 and over the age of 60 get baptized everyone has their own time when they get baptized, no one pressures anyone. You just know when you are ready.
And what about these other religions christining their children right out the womb.
When we think about this question and the answers that have so far been given ,well if baptism was meant to be practiced as it is practiced by JW's then I would say that a person should wait until they were much older.Jesus was immersed at about 30 the scriptures say ,he was not immersed for the forgiveness of sins since he was sinless and without spot from the world.Scriptures show that baptism was given to those who excepted Him to be the Messiah ,They were being baptized (immersed)into His death and raised up (resurrected) into a new life .One that would be lived as a witness to Him.They would now apply the teachings of the Messiah to their lives as they progressed to maturity in the future. All one must do to arrive at this conclusion is to step away from man's teachings and consintrate on the WORD as God Himsef presents it in the scriptures. There was no 6 to 8 month study, there were no questions to answer,There was no public decleration before many witnesses.Think about the eunach and Phillip ,maybe the charriot driver saw this happening if it was of intrest to him ,the scripture doesn't say.Read the accounts of baptizms and do you see special vows imposed on anyone? The baptizm was a sign or symbol not a binding contract into any religion. It ment that they now excepted the sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ and they believed in the resurection of His body from death and they they now have excepted and put Faith in Him as their Hope and Salvation. As He so aptly put it You will be Witnesses of me to the most distent parts of the earth.
No one forced to get Baptised. When a son or a daughter reaches the age of responsibility, he or she must make a personal decision with regard to dedication and baptism. Jesus commanded that his followers be baptized. Before making a dedication, a youth should have adequate knowledge to comprehend what is involved and should be seeking a personal relationship with God. He should understand and be adhering to Bible principles, knowing that he will be held accountable for any infraction thereof. He should also have sufficient experience in sharing his faith with others and know that this is a vital part of true worship; he should truly want to serve God. Naturally, he would not be expected to show the maturity of an adult, but his spiritual progress should be reasonably steady. If one has 鈥榗ounted the cost,鈥?it places one at no disadvantage to make a dedication as a youth. With almost all new Christians, after baptism appreciation for God can only deepens.
Jehovah's Witnesses get baptized at whatever age they feel they are ready. We try and teach the seriousness of dedication, of what they are committing to, and to be very honest I DID discourage my daughter from being baptized too young (she was 12 and was NOT ready when she first started talking about it).
For myself? I was baptized at the age of 15 and never once regretted it. I've known people who were baptized VERY young too. I have friends who are in their 70s who were baptized at a very young age and they are still serving Jehovah. The wife was rebaptized after she got older because she felt that she had been too young when she was first baptized, but her husband never felt that need. They are still going strong.
I've seen people baptized very young and VERY old. I think there was a man I know of who was baptized in his 90s recently.
To be honest? it isn't the age, it is the heart condition. Some know at a very young age that they will always want to serve Jehovah. Some get baptized only because all their friends are doing it and they never really make a proper dedication. BUT ALWAYS when Witnesses are baptized it is THEIR decision. No one can or should tell someone when they can or cannot become baptized. It is between the individual and Jehovah. Personally I think as a parent it is my responsiblity to slow down or question my child so as to know whether they are indeed ready or not. I feel confident that my daughter was. My son (who is the same age she was last year when she was baptized) is not ready yet. But when he knows he is ready I trust that he will KNOW. He's a serious young man and he isn't going to do anything at anyone else's urging. He'll know when it is right for him. And if he doesn't seem ready? I'll make every effort to question him and slow him down if needed. I do NOT want any of my children making such an important decision impulsively or without proper knowledge of what they are doing.
I have to agree with you. Being that the penalty for stepping out of line with Watchtower rules is disfellowshipping ( which Jesus NEVER practiced) Thus loss of friends and family.
They have no business baptizing anyone under the age of 30.
I was the ripe old age of 13 when I got baptized. I hadn't even started minstrating yet. But because of that choice, I have had no contact with my family for over 25 years..to them I don't exist. Dead...
You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
.. ..(Matthew 10:11-14) Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.Jehovah's Witnesses:why dont you follow jesus' example %26amp; get baptised well after your ';bloom of youth';
';i am so sorry lioness. i dont know why they seem to think pressuring kids into baptism is a good thing. it does exist because i saw it myself.';
Not true! Children are not pressured to get baptized. In fact, many of them are encoraged to wait a little bit longer.
';They have no business baptizing anyone under the age of 30.';
Is this a pronouncement to JWs or to all religions?
';Being that the penalty for stepping out of line with Watchtower rules is disfellowshipping ( which Jesus NEVER practiced)';

Why isn't my tree peony blooming this year?
Typically this 15 year old plant has anywhere from three to fifteen blooms; this year there are none! Two beside it are blooming as usual (but are younger). The non-bloomer had a blight of sorts last summer but this year's foilage is lush - only no buds/blooms. Any suggestions on how to get it flowering again? ThanksWhy isn't my tree peony blooming this year?
Tree peonies do occasionally have rest years, especially after a year or two of heavy flowering and/or some stresses.
I would give it a good mulch of compost and a slow release fertiliser this year, possibly some Sulphate of Potash- Potassium Sulphate. Potassium is the element that's needed by plants to initiate flowering, and can nudge plants that are borderline ready to flower. This is available from nurseries, and is relatively low cost.
As it is, I'd expect yours to flower again next year, as it's mature, and has flowered regularly before. Check that it's root system hasn't been damaged too, and I'd treat with anti-fungal spray for all of them this year - though the weather influences outbreaks too.
Mine are in bloom now, but remembering a time when I had a couple have a blank year, at different times.
Hope this helps. Good luck! Robcomputer security

Can anyone give me any tips on how to make my Pink Echeveria plant bloom?
Hellow, I purchased this plant from back in july called Pink Echeveria from my local grocery store it has held up prettty well at least it's not dead yet, i bought it when it's pink flower's were withering out then it was just the base and the base is now gone now so it's just green all the way down where it's just the bulb, so now were in october and its really cold and little sun left, could it be that i'm watering it too much, or is it not getting enough sun, or is it that i keep it in my room if anyone can give me any good tips and advice i would highly appreciate it thanks. Can anyone give me any tips on how to make my Pink Echeveria plant bloom?
It is winter. It will amaze you in the Spring. Don't water it where it is going to be soggie on the roots all the time it will rot the roots. Just water it to keep it from drying out. Give it a little sprinkle of fertilizer every 1 or 2 months and wait for spring. It is not gpoing to bloom til then if that is what you are trying to do. Most likely you are watering too much and it is not getting enough sun. But, if you put it in a sunny location you have to monitor the moiture level of the soil. Misting is all you need in some cases. Depend on the Dryness of soil. Mist with Fish emultion deluted is even better on the soil. Not on the leave in the winter. In the spring Yes. It might make better bloom misting on the top plant. I do it on Pepper plants and get more Blooms. Can anyone give me any tips on how to make my Pink Echeveria plant bloom?
Succulents thrive on neglect. Reduce watering in winter. Leaves placed in moist soil will root. Here's additional care info: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=echever鈥?/a>

I planted a mum last Summer, in late July and it is starting to bloom already?
I planted three mums last summer in late July and it didn't bloom much in the fall. In fact, I wasn't sure they were going to make it. However, they survived the winter and started growing more in the spring. By the end of the spring all three mums were rather large and green. Now, two of the mums have buds that are getting ready to bloom...and it is June 30th! I think my mums are a little confused..as am I. Should I do anything to them or just let them be?I planted a mum last Summer, in late July and it is starting to bloom already?
in order to get mums to bloom for fall, one must 'pinch' them all thru the spring and early summer growing seasons.. up until July 4th for most areas...... this keeps them from budding, makes them produce lots of side shoots (more flowers later) and shorter, more compact plants..... after pinching the growing tips all spring and early summer, you'll have a great plant.....
since your plants are new, it's okay if they bloom out of 'time' this year, since you also didn't pinch 'em...... but next year, start as soon as they're about six or eight inches tall.... pinch the growing tips on every branch..... then do it when you see it's had a lot of new growth....and again.... up till the first week of July ... that will give them just enuff time to set buds and bloom in late Aug or Sept....
while pinching, be sure to feed....

Let them be, some mums flower at different times. Years ago it used to be a fall flower
Plants that bloom every year react to temperature to bloom. For instance my crape myrtle tree has to experience a certain degree of temperature for a certain amount of days in order for it to bloom. In the case of your mums they received those days of heat and are now responding (i blame it on global warming). There really isn't much you can do about it right now, I read somewhere that you can try pinching the flowers off but I don't recommended that I think you should let mother nature correct this problem.

professionally. I had more white lilies than Red. But I was demonstarting to my mother how she should pick flowers.
Any help on this one please?I saw myself picking flowrers in my dream. The flowers were freshly bloomed and I was picking them proffession
Colorful flowers in your dream, signifies kindness, compassion, gentleness, pleasure, beauty, and gain.
Alternatively, if the flowers are white, then it symbolizes sadness.I saw myself picking flowrers in my dream. The flowers were freshly bloomed and I was picking them proffession
White is the color of purity, innocence and spirit. Red is the color of passion and anger. You are showing your mother, whether you know it or not, how to be more spiritual and not go into anger issues. You may actually do this for a living, as you were picking the flowers professionally.
White = spirituality. Maybe you are realising your parents beliefs aren't necessarily yours any more. The red being love, time to become who you truly are. Allow your feelings and inner promptings to lead you toward your life path. Lillies are pure, you have a pure heart and will help many people in your life. You will teach others by your own actions.

Any other home gardners have no blooms or extremely few? Also have you Googled problem ?
I'm in Nv. Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona many other areas reporting the same, no blooms, morning glories all vines, squash one or two gourds but flowers, cosmos, blk. eyed Susans maybe one flower!Whats happening?Any other home gardners have no blooms or extremely few? Also have you Googled problem ?
We've been in drought where I am for 3 years and even the tomatoes are reluctant to flower. The heat has a big effect even when you are watering and it has reduced the amount of bees as well.
it has now started raining again and all the fruit trees are loaded and the flowering trees are the best in years. has it been unseasonably dry and hot where you are? This would be my guess. Any other home gardners have no blooms or extremely few? Also have you Googled problem ?
There are any number of possible explanations: lack of bees for pollination, insufficient moisture for pollination; plants over-watered or over-fertilized and hence not setting flowers; plants in poor soil or insufficient sunlight. I am certainly not having this problem in SE Pennsylvania
I am in Saskatchewan, Canada and we have four cherry trees that this year yielded a grand total of 42 cherries.
Last year the trees were so heavily laden that branches were breaking off. The experts here have attributed it to a late Spring frost.

Possibly tropical plant, # of years questionable. Absolute on bloomWhat flowering plant lives 40 years, blooms and then dies?
This may be the Titan ';stinking'; arum.
On second thought - I double checked and found this one - the Talipot Palm.
Late Bloomer
The flowering of another native plant of southern India (and Sri Lanka), the Talipot palm, is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event鈥攆or the tree, at least. The Talipot palm is monocarpic, meaning it blooms only once, and in this case, at the end of its long life, which can last between 30 and 80 years.
While the Talipot palm can grow to enormous heights during its lifetime, as high as 82 feet (25 meters), it becomes even taller when in bloom. It grows a large stalk at its top, between 20 and 26 feet (6鈥? meters) long, which produces smaller branches carrying millions of flowers. The stalk, branches, and flowers of the Talipot palm, known jointly as an inflorescence, is the largest of any plant in the world (the Titan Arum lily has the largest unbranched inflorescence).
Once the Talipot palm has flowered, it takes a year for the fruit to develop; it eventually produces thousands of round yellow-green fruit, each of which contains a single seed. After the fruit appears, the Talipot palm dies off. What flowering plant lives 40 years, blooms and then dies?

How can i keep my easter lilies in the pot and still have it bloom the next year?
my mom and i bought an easter lily about 3 days ago. one flower has begun to open. i know they are perennials, but after the flower is done blooming and i keep it in the pot, will it bloom again next year? i cant plant it in our garden because no one will care for it when i leave for the summer, because its outside. so that's why i want to keep it inside the house. we put it in a place were there's lots of sun too. oh, i live in PA, if that helps any.
so my question is,
how can i keep my easter lily in the pot and have it bloom again next year? How can i keep my easter lilies in the pot and still have it bloom the next year?
You can't.
They need minimal care outside, and they will have finished blooming long before summer.

I just sowed Chrysanthemums indoor under grow light. Can I expect them to bloom by this Fall?
And another thing: can I put one plant outdoor in a large pot (diameter 19 inches) together with other perennials I have already sowed, such as Columbine, Echinacea, Painted Daisy, Rudbeckia and Helenium, and hope that all these plants will resist the cold of the winter in Dallas?
I chose these plants because they bloom in different times from Spring to the end of the Fall. I am also thinking of planting crocuses and Hellebores so I would also have flowers in winter. Sure, you have plenty of time to make them bloom. Check the hours of daylight required to make them bloom and adjust the time of your growlights accordingly. Mums cannot handle a freeze very well, so you will have to bring the pot inside when it is cold or wrap the plant for insulation and hope for the best.I just sowed Chrysanthemums indoor under grow light. My 12 year old daughter is listening to Creep, Black Hole Sun, In Bloom, etc? She writes sad songs? Help me!?!
Well, my 12 year old daughter last in 6th grade would listen to pop, country, and pretty good songs I guess. And over the Summer (her father and I are divorced) her dad moved. She drives about 4 hours every other week traveling from my house one week to her father's the next. I have done some things in the past that maybe weren't the best. But anyways over this Summer she got a hole new taste it seems. I have nothing wrong with that though. She's been playing guitar and everything and loves rock. But she really likes songs like, In Bloom, Creap, Black Hole Sun and everything. She's been wearing bandanas, jeans with (not that many) rips. She also wears black tees and doesn't like bright colors. She also seems even quieter now. Should I be worried? Can you please help me? She was a good kid in 6th grade. Straight As. Athletic. Nice. Are things going wrong? She writes somewhat sad songs. (They're Beautiful though they make me cry). Help Me? P.S. She also listens to Kansas, Bon Jovi, and not just the songs I've listed. God Bless!
She is most certainly not goth or emo. She doesn't even wear make up (just mascara). She has a few friends and her cousin. She isn't too shy around them. I'm just conserned about her taste in music? All those pointless sad rock songs? She doesn't dress too goth but like I just wish she could wear a nice pink shirt and a skirt for once. Anyways please help!My 12 year old daughter is listening to Creep, Black Hole Sun, In Bloom, etc? She writes sad songs? Help me!?!
Didnt you already ask this question?? Anyway, stop being so judgmental and try being accepting. Get to know your daughter, as she is trying to assert her independence and figure out where she fits into this world. Try to find a common thread in which she can relate to you. Tell her that her songwriting is beautiful, and show an interest in what she enjoys. The more you get to know your daughter, the more you will get to know her, if you know what I mean.My 12 year old daughter is listening to Creep, Black Hole Sun, In Bloom, etc? She writes sad songs? Help me!?!
I wouldn't be concerned about her taste in music. Between 6th and 7th grade, my taste in music totally changed. I went from listening to Britney Spears to listening to My Chemical Romance, The Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer, Green Day, Radiohead, etc. I was still a good kid even though my taste in music became a little darker.
She's 12. Thats a part of being a preteen, and sometimes it stays until their teenage years
you can't change your children, just protect and love them. Love her for who she is, don't keep insisting she wear pink. your insistence will only make her want to even less at this point in her life
Your daughter is fine, the music is fine and she is just going through a stage that a lot of kids go through. She wants to be ';different';. She'll most likely grow out of it, don't worry about it and let her be who she wants to be.
She is just sad and all of those songs are becoming popular again because they are on Rock band and Guitar Hero. Plus a lot of people right sad songs. Its probably just a phase. She could be quieter because she is growing up and less open and more self conscious
Does she happen to own Rock Band?

Rock Band, a video game. It has all those songs, she most likely got it from that. They're all classics though, they're not bad at all.
Its probably just a phase. I went through an ';emo phase'; when I was her age. But if she doesn't snap out of it soon you should maybe talk to her. A serious talk. Let her get out whats making her act that way.
You should go talk to her right now though.
Lighten the **** up! If this is your biggest worry your lucky!
her tastes are probably just changing, just a phase, no big deal
what is so wrong with those songs? they are good
i think she is just depressed, if she starts dressing like a goth though its just a phase, if not, she is depressed because her dad moved away. maybe like buy her a pop cd or good music cd for her bday or holiday or something. Take her shopping at good stores like Justice, limited 2, aeropostal, holister, abercrombie, just not Hot Topic. Also try to act cheery around, but not 2 cheery or else it would freak her out, it would freak me out. good luck, hope this helps! %26lt;3
i wouldnt be concerned. just cause her tastes have changed, doesnt mean she is gonna turn into a bad student.
and you sound like my mom. i wear alot of dark colors and she tries to get me to wear bright colors and dresses. lol. just dont make her wear things she doesnt want to. shes expressing herself... let her.
EDIT:
plus, those songs are classics.
Just let her express her emotions, and don't worry about it. I'm 14, going on 15, and I know how it is. That's the known age for big changes, and she's obviously expressing her pre-teenage angst in a way that helps her. It shouldn't matter if she wants to go in the darker direction, as long as you don't smother her and make her feel worse, she will be fine. If it's helping her out, despite whether you think it's too dark and too scary for such a young girl, then again, you should just leave her be and support her.
I was the same way at that age. (And back when I was 12, those songs were just becoming popular!) As long as she isn't being destructive to herself or others, isn't showing any behavioral problems, and isn't showing signs of being suicidal or depressed, I wouldn't worry about it. It's just a phase, and even if this is the person that she turns out to be, it'll all be okay.
Just because you don't wear pink or skirts doesn't make you a bad person :)
My friend was just like your daughter. Sometimes people just . . . change. Don't bug her about it because that will only make her more upset. However, don't completely neglect her. Just don't treat her like anything has changed. She'll make a decision whether ot not do keep being that way.
But changing your taste in music doesn't always mean they're going bad. And you know, sometimes sad songs are just... they make you think more. That's why a lot of people listen to them, because they express more feeling, etc.
I wouldn't worry. It's normal for a person to change interests/look at least twice in their life. It's probably a phase. But, with descretion, talk to her, and see if something's going on. Just don't push it too much - NO therapy. Trust me, a little is a lot. Just listen to what she wants and try not to influence her too much, pre teens/teens don't take too kindly to be harrassed by their parents. I wouldn't worry, unless she starts doing more severe things.
maybe shes depressed because of you and her dad or those things you did that you aren't so proud of. but maybe her interests just changed. it can happen pretty severely like that. i used to be really girly, never wore pants, only skirts, and now i hate bright colors, i almost always wear jeans, and i love darker colors. so, it could happen. just keep an eye on it and see if you notice anything. if you're seeing any possible symptoms, try googleing them and see what you get. my mom has a lot of health issues so she does that a lot because the doctors are morons (hehe), and she gets a lot of useful information. if it progresses into what you think is depression, take her to a therapist because they're the ones who usually diagnose things like anxiety or depression. i should know, i have both. oh joy... well good luck!
You can't keep them controlled forever.Elementary school is over, and these are the years she is going to develop her own opinions.
If you want her to change her style go on a shopping day and let her pick out clothes- but suggest some colorful things too.

I made some things she might like.
(this is not meant to be rude so please dont take it that way i just have very strong feelings for music and children that deal with this) first of all there is no such thing as a pointless song. in bloom was written by one of the greatest people ever and black hole sun is a BEAUTIFUL song. and your daughter is sad and depressed! she needs help you need to try to talk to her about the divorce. i was 13 when my parents started the divorce then my dad was put in jail for hitting my mother then after a year of them seperated and still going through the divorce my mom was murdered. she needs help. give her my email (fairy_magic_77@yahoo.com) i will help her. i know how she feels i know she needs somebody who understands how she feels.. i know you are her mother but you are not the one who has to go back and forth between parents (not your fault you did what you think is best) she needs somebody who dealt with it.. please give her my email and tell her i want to help that i am just a random person who is not gonna take side and knows how she feels. if i could talk to EVERY child that has had their parents divorce or have lost a parent to death i would do it no questions asked. i would like to tell you i hope you are ok i know how divorce affected my mother and i know you need help as well. i had to help my mom so you can email me as well. and i respect you for taking care of what needed to be done i see that you are worried about you daughter so i know you are a great mom. just know i am here i am a stay at home mom so i am reachable 24/7. good luck and please if you needed some body to talk to i am here. trust me it is better to talk to somebody who knows nothing about you (they dont take sides)

Is it right to pick blooms after planting winter pansies straight away?
Yes! It is best to do this with all plants.
Why? So, the plant will focus on putting out new growth and roots. It will not waste energy on the blooms that are on the plant. By doing this, you will benefit your new planting. Happy Gardening. Is it right to pick blooms after planting winter pansies straight away?
Yes that OK it will help the plant it will not waste energy on the bloom and be able to put moor energy in to it's roots and foliageIs it right to pick blooms after planting winter pansies straight away?
It's fine to do so; in fact, you might even be helping the plant to grow a bit. Removing flowers allows more nutrients to go to the plant itself, so that it has a chance to establish itself. Once you've removed the flowers initially, however, let the plant grow in its own way. After all, the flowers are the reason you grow them :-)
Enjoy!
Absolutely. this way the will get right on to the job of producing good roots and then new flowers instead of supporting the growing flowers and trying to make seeds. This is a good rule for all new plants
Once they do start to bloom , now and again in the spring, remember that with pansies - the more you pick the more flowers you will get
um no?
wont that like kill the plant?

Why are my Westerland climbing roses requiring dead-heading as soon as they bloom?
I've just planted climbing roses in a west-facing full-sun garden bed.
Roses were planted by a gardener and new topsoil brought in.
They are new young plants that are on stakes.
They are the Westerland variety and have been in the ground for about 2 weeks now.
So far they are producing blooms but they only seem to be lasting a day or so before they need to be dead-headed. I've also noticed some drying or dying leaves on some of them. Have also seen yellowing or black leaves.
What do I need to be doing? As yet, I have not implemented a fertilizing regimen.I have been watering them daily. Why are my Westerland climbing roses requiring dead-heading as soon as they bloom?
Hi KImchico,
Most roses, need to be deadheaded to encourage re-bloom. The yellow leaves could be a fungus called Black spot. It starts out with leaves turning yellow.
Discard all yellow leaves. And spray with a fungicide control.
Most all climbing roses, don't bloom a lot the first year. They need time to build long flowering canes, which should be trained horizontally as much as possible.
These long canes, when trained horizontally, will produce lateral shorter canes which are the real flowering canes.
You should fertilize now, and every 3 weeks during the season.
Do not prune these long canes next spring, only prune the lateral canes down to about 2-3 inches, no matter how long they are.
I have a Westerland climber myself. It's really beautiful now ,4 years old.
AnnelieWhy are my Westerland climbing roses requiring dead-heading as soon as they bloom?
Chances are these roses are suffering from the traditional moisture related diseases that plague them in moist climates: mildew, blackspot and rust. Rose growers have long battled moisture related diseases with breeders hoping to create new varieties with greater resistance. But many of the established varieties are quite vulnerable, particularly if they are planted in a less than ideal exposure.
Roses planted in morning sun tend to suffer less from disease because the sun helps dew to evaporate quickly. This dries the leaves early in the day leaving an inhospitable environment for disease. The yellowing and black leaves you see are probably blackspot, which is tough to control with fungicide sprays. Spores remain to infect the fallen leaves too, so you must keep them raked up. When mildew strikes buds and blooms, they tend to wither prematurely.
Because your roses are climbers they must be trained onto a surface, probably a fence or wall. This further limits air circulation as well as lack of morning solar exposure. So rest assured it's not a watering problem nor one of pruning or fertilizer. It is merely the consequences of a less than ideal location. Your choices are either battle the diseases forever or move the roses to a new east facing location and replace with a more shade tolerant vine.

Is it too early to spray Daconil on lilacs? Leaf buds and bloom buds are appearing. Spray schedule?
What are you spraying for? If it's just the powdery mildew common on lilac leaves in the fall, don't bother... doesn't really bother the plants, especially when the damage isn't apparent till late in the summer. Prune for increased air circulation.
Most fungicides are fairly nasty. Bordeaux mixture and sulfur are about the most benign of the bunch, and will control powdery mildew.
If you've got Ascochyta, pruning and sanitation will go a long way towards controlling it.Is it too early to spray Daconil on lilacs? Leaf buds and bloom buds are appearing. Spray schedule?
no need to spray. fertilize with a bit of bone meal and water.

If stored lily bulbs are dried up and hard will they still bloom?
I bought oriental lilies at the end of the season last year for a great deal, 12 for $12, 3 diff varieties. I stored them in the refrigerator through the winter, and before I put them in the fridge they were fine, fleshy, moist. I pulled them out of the fridge the other day and they had begun to sprout, and had completely dried out. Two of the varieties were dry, and hard. the third was still somewhat moist, but the outer parts of the bulb were hard. I went ahead and planted them in a pot. My question is will these recover, and grow?If stored lily bulbs are dried up and hard will they still bloom?
How dried up were they? Looking like prunes or what? Plant them in a pot and see what happens, if something shows later in the spring, plant them where you want them. That鈥檚 what I would do, I never give up on flowers :pIf stored lily bulbs are dried up and hard will they still bloom?
Who knows. Maybe. I wouldn't put money on them. Problem is modern refrigs are drying in order to keep frost free. Hence the poor babies dried out. Maybe they will take in moisture from the soil............if they can get some roots out. I'm not holding my breath.
Lillies do not like to dry out, and your chances are very low of them surviving, but what have you lost by planting you never know your luck!Ltd

Does seeing color on zinnias leaves and stem mean the flowers will bloom soon?
I am growing zinnias and they are growing great. I have grown them from seeds and about two months now. I started them around march 15 and I just noticed that two of the many I have has color on the stem and a little bit on the underside of the leaves its starting to get a pinkish color. Does that mean flowers will bloom soon?and if so how soon will they bloom.this is my first time growing these and would like an estimate on when the flowers will bloom.thanks!!Does seeing color on zinnias leaves and stem mean the flowers will bloom soon?
they usually flower from the start of July and can still flower if looked after well until mid October (also depending on the weather)

31% strongly disapprove of Barry Obama vs 34% strongly approve. Is the bloom off the rose for Barry?
Barack Obama after only ten weeks in office is down to 34% strongly approve while 31% strongly disapprove for a presidential approval index of +3 Poll information releases this hour.
This is half of One Term Barry's margin of victory last November. How long will it be until Barry's approval index drops into negative terrirtory?

No, but some of that undigested garbage you regurgitate continuously is still stuck to your chin, hatchling.31% strongly disapprove of Barry Obama vs 34% strongly approve. Is the bloom off the rose for Barry?
As long as the bought and paid for liberal media continues to get ';tingles up and down the leg'; when Hussein Obama speaks, I doubt the rating will ever completely tank.
The bigger question is whether Comrade General Secretary Obama gets the message before he completes his glorious collectivist revolution.
It's nice to see isn't it? Perhaps it's not too late for America. The 2010 elections are coming up and we can restore power to the GOP, who will lead us out of this mess.
What happened? I though he was going to ';reach across the aisle';? He can't capitalize on his long senate experience? How long was he a senator? Something like 20 years?

I have a laptop running Windonws XP and it s so blooming slow it is painful. Can i format the drive and reload
Is this the best solution? How does one go about this?I have a laptop running Windonws XP and it s so blooming slow it is painful. Can i format the drive and reload
You don't need to. Click on the run command on the startup menu and type msconfig. Then click on the startup tab. Those are all the programs that start up with the computer and they're what's slowing it down. Uncheck them all and reboot. Windows doesn't need any of them. If something quits working that you need, just figure out which box it was and recheck it.I have a laptop running Windonws XP and it s so blooming slow it is painful. Can i format the drive and reload
This is the most efficient %26amp; least time consuming way to solve your OS problems. Just make sure that you save all of the data that you wish to keep from your laptop on a usb or backup drive. Reformat the hardrive %26amp; reload windows %26amp; all of your apps. If you want a sure fire solution to your problem this is it. Start from square 1 %26amp; make sure that you have good anti-virus %26amp; spyware software installed on your system once completed. Make sure that you take note of all printer drivers %26amp; any other drivers that you may need to operate your external devices %26amp; make sure that you know where all of the data paths are for the data that you wish to save. You may wish to run some spyware %26amp; or antivirus software or somthing like ';ccleaner'; %26amp; see what kind of improvements you receive. The only 100% way to make sure that you are free of any infections is to format %26amp; reload.
The reason the computer gets slow is due to the registry files becoming corrupted, or messed up, in simple terms. These files tell the computer or laptop how to operate the software installed on the system. If any of these files get messed up, the computer is not sure what to do and this will really slow down the computer.
