How do i get an algae bloom than is controlable?

i wanted to have some in my chiclid tank


i have all ki nd of psuedothropheus (sorry if spelled wrong) my fish are like 2 red zebras, 3 cobalt blue, 2 yellow chiclids and a bunch of slate rock and a java fern i waner to have some alge for my fish to graze on thank for your answerHow do i get an algae bloom than is controlable?
over time a good lawer should build up on it's own.. your tap water probably has traces of phosphates and nitrates, both will cause algea growth

Yeah if you keep your tank in any amount of light, it should start to grow. A huge patch emerged on my plastic one when it came through a bulletproof window.
